Nhuzyeni is a village organized in the community of chief Nsefu at Malanda area which is north of Mfuwe National Airport. The village Nkhzyeni is a Ngoni name meaning –resting place. The Ngoni is a group of people who came from southern part of Africa, South Africa.
During the wars of Ngoni (Mfecane,) some of the Ngoni came to Zambia eastern Province under the leader Zwangendaba. As a Nkhuzyeni guest, you will be able to see the most colorful cultural dance by the Ngoni people of Chipata eastern province. While at the village, guests will get more information about the Ngoni and how they fought with the British under their leader Shaka. This was when the British were ruling cape known as cape colon. The expedition of the British to this part of Africa as interesting. Come to Nkhuzyeni for more stories while you rest.
